Nearby, you'll find the beautiful little town of Tekapo. The closest place to stop for supplies (there is one expensive gas station in Mount Cook Village but no grocery store) is Twizel. NettetWe are in Mt Cook for two days and had planned to go heli skiing tomorrow. Unfortunately a storm system is coming in tonight and the heli skiing was canceled. Any suggestions for things to do in the area in the rain? We will go to the visitors center tomorrow and check things out but that doesn’t look like it will take more than a few hours.
